My friend went to school at St. Norbert's, and insisted we went here before a Packers game. The place is enormous inside, and there are a lot of folks there on a Sunday morning. So many, in fact, that there was a bit of a wait. However, it was clear that the service was fast and friendly and that the patrons were a mix of dedicated locals as well as visitor like myself. The food for breakfast was typical American brunch fare. I had a huge portion of farmers scramble with hollandaise sauce, which was excellent. The coffee was good, and the service was excellent. Next time I'm passing through way up Nort dere hey I'll be stopping by.

I didn't care for the seafood omelet. It was very "fishy" tasting. The other food looked excellent. The cinnamon raisin toast was great! Can't wait to go back and try some bakery items!

Wow! As a foodie you would think what can be special about a three egg breakfast, but my breakfast was fantastic! I ordered the "Big Mans Breakfast" which had three FARM FRESH EGGS, two meats which were a slice of ham and a polish sausage link sliced in half and grilled with a crust, american potatoes with cheese and onions, and rye toast that was made here at the bakery. Along with all this my table of four, split a whole order of biscuits and gravy which were the best I've ever had( I've had many). To go with maybe the best breakfast I've ever had, the service was fantastic. You don't finds gems like this too often. To boot the pricing was cheap!

Easily one of the best diners in the area. If not the best! Usually stop in when I an in the mood for brunch. Today I was intrigued by the Tuesday Special which was Pot Roast. So glad I deviated from my norm (not that their breakfast us not good). The Pot Roast was melt in your mouth great. Baby Carrots were sweet and buttery and of course included their famous Homemade Bread. My waitress was a sweet old lady that reminded me of my Grandmother. Only difference was my Grandmother would have offered me seconds after I finished my plate. No matter what you order make sure to get some of their bread... Or take a loaf home!

So this place would have had 4 stars but I had to dock one for the poor waitress we had. She dropped the toast off my plate and it landed face down onto the table. Her reaction "it's still good". Haha I'm not one to make a scene for something like this so I let it go. In my opinion she would have said "I'm sorry, I'll be right back with new toast". That said, food was great, seating was fast for Saturday morning, and the corned beef hash was some of the best I've had.

This is a nice little place; very cozy with good service. The stuffed French toast was awesome and came with a heaping pile of raspberries on top. Wasn't overly expensive either! Further update: the biscuits and gravy are amazing but I would highly recommend the blueberry hill waffle! This is my favorite place to eat breakfast around the area and I wish I could take it back home with me when I leave the city.

Had a great filling meal and great service. Bonny was awesome and contrary to other reviews I didn't feel like I received subpar service. If you're looking for health this isn't the place but it sure touches the taste buds and stomach for sure!!!

Seriously our favorite place to go when we visit De Pere. The servers are a hoot and make you feel like family. The homemade raspberry jam is to die for. The character of the place alone is worth the stop alone.

Nothing beats a Farmers Feed on a Sunday morning. There are really two places in the Green Bay metro area that you HAVE to go to for breakfast. This is one of the two. If you can beat the church crowd you can sit immediately. After church you may wait but only a couple minutes. The wait staff is very attentive and always super nice. For the most part the breakfast menu is typical and what you'd expect beyond the Farmers Feed which is their morning specialty. I have never actually eaten here other than breakfast but need to try out the lunch or dinner menu.

This is the go-to breakfast joint for De Pere residents. French toast and pancakes and waffles oh my. Not Pancake Place, but good still. Nicolet comes into its own with the Farmer's Feast. It is the Especial De La Casa, and it uses high quality ham, sausage, veg, eggs, cheese and potato in a classic skillet meal. A triple portion of this with extra (DELICIOUS) wheat toast will feed 3 to complete satisfaction for under 15 bucks. And it isn't a carb fest even though there are potatoes in it. Nicolet also serves up some competent sandwiches. Burgers are beat by other local options. But you don't go there for that stuff. You go for the Farmer's Feast and strong coffee. That dish alone keeps people coming back. I implore the owners to please, NEVER cut back on the quality of the ingredients they're using. It's great.

This place was pretty good. Service was lackluster at best. Food was ok. Probably the best toast I've ever had anywhere. I never thought I would have toast worth writing about. It was amazing.

This place has the best hashbrowns I have found so far. All of their breakfast food is excellent and I recommend the House Special. A couple of eggs, choice of meat, and pancakes or toast. I always get the strawberries pancakes. You have to order the hash browns on the side, but definitely worth it. Their dinner and lunch food is about average. This is one of those hole in the wall diners that are getting harder to come by. It's cheap with good food and great coffee.

The best value for your money, everything tastes homemade. Crazy long waits on weekend mornings! But during the week? My go-to!

Great place for breakfast. Food is fresh, healthy portions and good prices. I wish they had some gluten free breads available. Overall a great place! Try the double farmer's feed!

Visits: One When: Saturday 7/14/12 6:30am Company: Me Cuisine: Classic Wisconsin diner Vibe: Classic Wisconsin diner. Friendly, caring but not intrusive. I felt very welcomed, despite never having been here before and not being a "local." Volume: Comfortable. Groups of folks out for breakfast, chatting, laughing, having a good time. Guys eating alone at the counter. Decor: Historic photos on walls of De Pere train depot this replaced 8 years ago in a building which on the outside truly looks like a restored train depot. The west parking lot straddles two sets of train tracks, one of which you cross to get to the restaurant. Long counter seats about 20, lots of 2 person and 4 person booths, a big ("capacity 48" per the sign) room off to the side with tables. Big pastry case next to the cash register. Community newspaper shared at the counter. Service: Excellent. Middle aged moms and grandmas (at least at 0630 on a Saturday) who really care that you are getting a great meal. I found absolutely nothing "pressuring" about the waitress. Drinks: I had water. They have drip coffee. No espresso, but I think espresso would ruin the character of this place. Food: Based on previous Yelp reviews I ordered a single (they have single, double and triple portions) of the "Farmer's Feed" (scrambled eggs, green peppers, green onions, mushrooms, cheese, bacon, sausage, ham and hash browns), asking that they hold the meat. I was told they can hold the meat on M-F, but not on weekends. That being said, it was delicious, a wonderful medley, but even the single portion was huge (see my picture). I also ordered a side of American fries. The American fries were also delicious, thicker than most (1/4 to 1/2 inch thick), likely boiled or baked first then fried to perfection, just short of black, soooo good. Total: $7.15 Overall: Highly recommend. The hours are really good, as they open at 0530 Monday-Saturday. If you want to eat healthy here, get the oatmeal. That being said, even the American fries were not particularly greasy. Truly a slice of northeastern Wisconsin, absolutely nothing pretentious about this place.

I have been eating here since college and will continue to go back for great meals. Normally when I go I am hungover and they have a vast selection to cure what ails ya. Big fan of the clock puncher and the seafood omelette. If you're really hungry get the triple farmers feed. Always leave with a PB cookie.

We love this place. It's always so busy, but we have never waited more than 10 minutes to sit. We have a 2 year old which complicates matters, but they are great about bringing distractions. The food service is fast. I just love the corned beef hash. Homemade and perfect! We always get some pastry to go. Having just moved here from Chicago, the prices are just great! We love to come here for breakfast, but I will definitely be back to try other meals.

Very hometown atmosphere. Old school cool counter with lots of seating and other booths and tables. Service was outstanding, friendly, hometown waitstaff. We ate there for breakfast on the way to Door County from the Fox Valley. We both had the Farmers Feed which was outstanding. Very moist, meaty and delicious and just the right mix of hashbrowns and eggs. We did not have the Hollandaise this time but the waitress said it is homemade and to die for. Next time we will try it on the side. The homemade, thick cut bread was winner winner chicken dinner and the strawberry preserves, which is also made in house, was amaze-balls!!!!! I wish they sold it by the jar, we would definitely purchased a couple jars!! And finally the check, under 15 dollars for both us. Wow!! We will definitely be back on a regular basis!!!!

The OK: - Basic small town diner. Loved by locals. - Anything carb related is portionally advanced, if you know what I'm saying. - Anything meat related looked good and greasy. - Well varied menu. The Bad: - Pressuring waitresses, not a relaxing environment if you're not a regular immediately ready to respond with the order that she already knows you're going to get. - "Seasonal Fruit Cup" in the middle of June was canned peaches and sliced banana. Right... - Condiment bottles look like they've been refilled over 100 times with worn down, cracked labels. - Eggs were barely warm by the time they reached our group of four.

First off, being from the East coast, I love a good breakfast place. Growing up in the South, there are many great diners, greasy spoons, and dives that can serve up awesome plates of food and give service like no other place in the US. We have been looking for a good breakfast place near our house in De Pere that we can go as a family that can bare any resemblance to what we experienced back East. Nicolet has a great little bakery, service is great, and the food is alright. Farmer's feed is the GO-TO menu item, as it satisfies my hunger on a Saturday morning....pecan rolls are nice, as well. Their coffee is not for us, though, as we appreciate coffee with flavor.....NOT coffee scented water.....no offense!!! I love going there with my family now that smoking is no longer allowed inside the dining area. Love the romance of the a good breakfast place, and this is a place we will go over and over. Always a smile from the folks who work there, and menu has it all for anyone whom can appreciate a great breakfast joint!

If you don't like butter, then don't read this review! You know that little diner you and your family had breakfast at every weekend? Well, it's all grown up. Nicolet (nick-oh-lay) for you out of towners, is a diner that has wonderful breakfasts. They have every type of breakfast item you would want, most of them are all homemade. I had the clock puncher egg sandwich which was great, best of all, I could get thick cut bread which you just can't find anymore. It's also came with potatos. I chose the cheesy has browns which were crazy good, while being crazy bad for you at the same time. The waitresses, have been here forever and they tend to wait at the table until you decide, it's not being pushy, just good customer service and the desire to help you with any questions. There can be a long wait on the weekends, but the food is excellent and best of all, breakfast for two came to a total of 14 bucks! I'll be back...

A visit home to see my family is never complete until we go to eat at the Nicolet Restaurant. It used to be the Nicolet Cafe, a tiny little place, but they've recently built a brand new bigger space right by the railroad tracks. You can even watch the trains go by! It has the ultimate small town restaurant feel, because that's what it is! The breakfast menu is great, and this place is cheap! The pastries--yum! Pancakes--yum! The toast--super yum! And they serve breakfast all day!

Just okay food. My sandwich was bland and greasy. Won't go back.

Yes, I would have to agree that this place definitely rocks. However, I didn't give this one the full 5 stars because it's just not the same as the old greasy spoon it once was. That said, we still pay a visit about once a week, usually on Saturday or Sunday (get there before the church crowd). And yes, the homemade bread is shear bliss.

yes this was great for breakfest any time of day. Everyone was nice, and i will go back. I liked the whole wheat homemade bread..rembember if you want your bread dry you must ask here..butter on everything!

This place does give you good portion size for the price, but the food is mediocre at best. also when i payed with my debit card the charge was $4 over what the receipt had said when i looked at my online statement and it took over two weeks to correct it, not quite sure what that was about but made me not want to go back.

I had the french toast and it was above average. The restaurant itself is really nice, looks like an old train station. Wait staff was very, very good they clearly had been there for years. Prices were very, very reasonable. I give this place B+

Double eggs Benny with cheesy hash browns or Double Farmer's feed with hollandaise sauce and raisin toast and homemade jelly.

Another very good breakfast, and of course the cinnamon raisin toast was the best. 1 out of the 4 dishes was luke warm, not good for an omelet, but the other three were fine. Would go there again and again.

Breakfast = Nicolet. I will honestly eat at Nicolet for breakfast 4/5 times when I take a 7/8 day trip back to DePere. Its that good. Double Farmers Feed is the best. I've tried to recreate it in my own kitchen but can't. There needs to be a wikileak on this recipe. The thick cut toast is delish with a little slab of butter and their homemade jam (comes with the beloved Farmer's Feed). Staff is always friendly, and even though things can get congested (on weekend mornings around 9:30 for example), they are always doing their best to seat you quickly and get your order back to the kitchen. And you will be pleasantly surprised with how fast that steaming plate of breakfast goodness makes its way to your table. And the prices are very reasonable. I wish they expanded to the SF Bay Area.

Always always always get two eggs, over medium, sausage links and cheesy/onion hashbrowns. Usually eat at the breakfast bar, no waiting. Great prices, friendly faces. $ is fair. favorite place to be on Saturday mornings A++

It's a diner - bring the kids, bring the blue hairs. No nonsense, big ol' breakfasts, greasy burgers and blue plate specials. Get the homemade cinnamon raisin toast - tip from me to you.

The farmers feed is the best. The Pancakes aren't that great my kids don't even eat them. Coffee is good. Overall we like it.

We recently met some friends from out of town here and were surprised to find the place packed with a waiting list. We didn't wait long, since the breakfast/brunch turnover was fast, and the service was wonderful. The breakfast menu was solid with a few fun twists, and the food was plentiful and flavorful. We will go back!
